Alt Vehicle Conference

Even conservative experts say that the world's supply of oil will be exhausted between 2036 and 2064. While I doubt if I will still be here in 2036, my daughter will be 48 and my son will be 44 in 2036. I plan to do everything in my power to keep them from living in an energy poor, third world country, called America. – Robert C. Hackney, Executive Director, Alternative Energy Association.

PALM BEACH GREEN BUILDING CONFERENCE 2008
Friday, February 29, 2008
The Kravis Center for Preforming Arts
West Palm Beach, FL

In the United States, residential and commercial buildings account for 65% of electricity consumption, 36% of energy use, 12% of potable water consumption, and 30% of greenhouse gas emissions.

The Palm Beach Green Conference was dedicated to fostering awareness of green building techniques, energy efficient building processes and products, and providing examples of various green construction projects. The Benefits of green building include conserving natural resources, improving air and water quality, enhancing comfort and health, maximizing environmental and economic performance and reducing our dependence on fossil fuels.

The Palm Beach Green Building Conference provided an opportunity for attendees to interact with the people who are leading the way in the green building movement, including government officials, green developers, and industry experts.
