Even conservative experts say that the world's supply of oil will be exhausted between 2036 and 2064. While I doubt if I will still be here in 2036, my daughter will be 48 and my son will be 44 in 2036. In the United States, residential and commercial buildings account for 65% of electricity consumption, 36% of energy use, 12% of potable water consumption, and 30% of greenhouse gas emissions.
The Palm Beach Green Conference was dedicated to fostering awareness of green building techniques, energy efficient building processes and products, and providing examples of various green construction projects. The Benefits of green building include conserving natural resources, improving air and water quality, enhancing comfort and health, maximizing environmental and economic performance and reducing our dependence on fossil fuels.
